Turn a broad label into clear requirements
Eco-friendly food packaging is a broad description, not the name of a specific certification. Start with the problem you need to solve. Consider whether unnecessary packaging can be avoided or a reusable option suits your operation. Where disposable tableware is needed, choose using product facts and your actual service conditions.
Start with the meal and service
Describe the food, portion, temperature, holding time and whether it will be carried or served on site. Compare capacity, width, depth, compartments and any lid requirements. Ask about sample availability and try the shortlisted item with your own menu before committing to a large order.
Check the exact product
GoEco's current catalogue includes bagasse bowls and plates, the 600 ml food box, a burger box, paper plates and the GoEco Bio 16 oz paper cup. A material name does not establish every item's performance. Request specifications, coating information where applicable and documents relevant to your intended use. Confirm any compostability claim against the exact product and stated conditions.
Compare quantities and prices consistently
Separate pieces per pack from packs per carton. State your total requirement in pieces and confirm the carton configuration with the supplier. For price per piece, divide the comparable quoted amount by the number of pieces it covers. Compare quotations on the same VAT and delivery basis, and identify any separate lid or other component cost.
Include disposal in the purchasing decision
Confirm what your waste contractor or receiving facility accepts. A material description or compostability certificate alone does not establish local collection. Include the selected SKU, quantity, delivery location, intended use and document needs in your enquiry so the proposed product and quotation can be checked together.
